Create lines patterns with Photoshop

Here's How:

Open Adobe Photoshop » Create a new document.
Open the picture which you want to apply lines pattern.
Copy and paste the picture the new document.
Create an another new document. Set the width and height to 3 pixels. Resolution 72 pixel/Inch. Contents transparent.
Zoom the document to the maximum. Press and hold the "Ctrl" key and press "+" the key.
Press and hold the "Ctrl" key and press "D" to set the foreground color default.
Select the marquee tool and draw a selection, left top of the document. Draw another selection bottom center and right center (see the image below).

Press and hold the "Ctrl" key and press "A"
Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Define Pattern".
Give a name and press "Ok". Pattern saved.
Close the document. Save not needed.
In the main document which you want to apply lines, create a new layer. Name it "lines".
Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Fill".
Select the contents use: pattern, Blending mode: normal and opacity : 100 (See the picture below).

That's it. You can make different blending by using "Blending mode" in the layer window. I used "Overlay" for mine.
