MooTools Overlay Plugin from David Walsh
David Walsh has created his own overlay effect using MooTools JavaScript. The overlays have become a big part of modern websites; we can probably attribute that to the numerous lightboxes that use them. He has found a ton of overlay code snippets out there but none of them satisfy my taste in code. Many of them are bloated, inflexible, or nonfunctional. The only way to make myself happy was to create one of my own.
A JQuery Plugin for Splash, entry and promotion pages
Jarod Taylor comes with a JQuery plugin called Meerkat. It’s a popup like behavior. Whether it’s used as a simple promotional tool, a roost for advertisements, or even as an alternative to a splash or entry page; Meerkat is unobtrusive, cross-browser compatible, and degrades gracefully if JavaScript has been disabled.
AnythingSlider- An Another jQuery Plugin
CSs Tricks has introduced a JQuery plugin called AnythingSlider. Chris Coyier has created a number of different sliders. Featured Content, Start/ Stop Slider and Moving Boxes. Each of them had some cool interesting feature.
This new AnythingSlider is an attempt at bringing together the functionality of all of those previous sliders and adding new features. In other words, to create a really “full featured” slider that could be widely useful. This is the first time (on CSS-Tricks) that one of these sliders is an actual plugin as well, which should make implementing it and customizing it much easier. You can see the demo for AnythingSlider here.
